I wanted to thank all of the teachers and students that worked with me this year. It has been a great year. I really enjoyed working at TNPU and living in the beautiful city of Ternopil. I wish all of you the best of luck in the future.

As any of you head into the classroom, it's important to keep things interesting for yourselves and for the students. This year, I started sharing NPR podcasts to keep listening activities interesting. :)

Girls in subgroups 34.2, 32.2, and 32.1:

Thanks a bunch for coming to the mini writing camp yesterday. I hope that you had fun and enjoyed the activities I prepared for you. Writing can be a lot of fun if you make it fun. :)

I realized that communication at TNPU has been pretty bad this year when I saw a student write that they wish there was an English club at TNPU that they could go to. I had an English club for most of this school year, at least four weeks of which, I ended up sitting by myself in room 80 for an hour.

Back home in the states, if we want a club and want to hang out and study English we (meaning the students) organize ourselves to make such a club. Life back home is about taking advantage of our skills and abilities. We don't wait for someone else to give us what we want. We work for what we want. That's the beauty of America.

I challenge you all to start your own English club next year. Don't wait for another Peace Corps Volunteer to make it for you. Make your own club. Perhaps on occasion, you can invite PCVs in the oblast but it all starts with you...

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Today, with group 33.2, we wrote some nursery rhymes. I hope you like them. :)
