DEAREST FOURTH YEAR STUDENTS:

IN LIEU OF THE PERSONAL HEALTH BILL OF RIGHTS, you are going to make a children’s book. YEA! We’re so excited about this! J You will create a small children’s book with about ten pages (so about 10 to 15 sentences) for children grades three to five. I will try to set up a time for us to visit a school where you will get to read your books to some kids. If for some reason, there are too many scheduling conflicts and we can’t take a class trip to one of the local schools, you will still be able to use your children’s books in the future, when you are teaching or when you tutor little kids or what not.

Do you understand? Did you stop reading at the beginning?

Here’s what you need to remember:

1.     You do not have to write the personal health bill of rights paper.

2.     You do have to make a children’s book with simple English.

3.     You need to edit your sentences and you might have to correct them if they are wrong. (Using pencil helps.)

4.     If you have questions, ASK PRONTO!

5.     Your books will be due the week after Easter, the same week your movie review is due so if you want to get a jump on it, I’d suggest you do…

See you soon!
