Hello again! I'm writing to remind you once more that after September 26th, no late assignments will be accepted. Assignment one is already past the one week extension. I WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE ASSIGNMENTS AFTER NEXT MONDAY. I gave you the assignments sheets via e-mail as well as posting them on this website. I'm not your mom. It's not my job to remind you about the due dates. You are adults. You are responsible for turning in your assignments in a timely manner.

Today's classes were a lot of fun for me. We had mock-interviews and everybody did a great job. I'm glad that you girls took the challenge and really played your parts so well. If you want to get the most our of our English lessons, you're going to have to jump in and try your hardest. Don't be scared of making mistakes or acting silly. Language is supposed to be fun and silly. You should be able to have fun when you learn it. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. See the rest of you soon! :)

I have been generous about grading late assignments for the past two weeks. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 26TH! Assignment one is already past the extra week deadline and will not be graded if turned in late. You are expected to follow the deadlines I set up for you on the assignments sheet. I will still be accepting late assignments this week but only for assignments that were assigned under a week ago. Again, after the 26th, I will not be grading late assignments. That means if you turn in an assignment at 9:01 or 9:02 you will receive a zero for the assignment. 

It has taken me a lot of time to develop your assignments and also to grade them. I would like you to be diligent and turn your work in on time. Thank you. 

Also, if you have not received your grades or are curious about your grades, please email me or talk to me before of after our classes. See you soon. 

One of your fellow students had a good question about using abbreviations in essays. I don't like them. Don't use them. Actually, please try to avoid using abbreviations in your work unless it is something we talk about in class. For example, we will be discussing e-books and e-mail. These are appropriate abbreviations to use often. You will see when I correct your essays if I fix the abbreviations or not. I may fix them, but I am more concerned about your content and grammar than anything else. :) Keep writing. And please, ask questions. I'm here to teach you. I love questions. :) 

Hey guys. I just wanted to let you know that I'm grading your assignments as they come in. When I assign essays (such as assignment three), I will be tracking changes as I grade and will send them back to you so you can see your mistakes. As for assignments one and two, you may ask me about how you did if you have not already received your grades from me. Many students turned in a weak assignment two and their scores are reflect that. Remember, always do your best. I spend a lot of time reading and grading your papers. I'd appreciate it if you tried to send me your best original work.

I hope your Monday has gone well. I just put the completed Semester One Assignments (including unit two) up and I'll also put it at the bottom of this post. You have one less assignment for unit two than you do for unit one. I'm working on grading the work you guys have turned in this weekend. I hope you had a good one even though you had homework. 
Remember the American Club starts tomorrow at 2:30 PM. We'll figure out a room tomorrow. Please come. I don't want to be the only one to show up. :)

I have given you the due dates for every assignment beforehand. You are expected to turn in all assignments by that due date. I will accept assignments after the due date for partial credit, but I will only accept late assignments for one week after the deadline. For example: assignment one was due on September 12th at 9 PM. You may turn it in up until September 19th at 9 PM. If you turn it in later than that, I will not grade it and you will be given a zero for the assignment. Please turn your work in on time so that you have the chance to earn full credit for your work.

Hey everybody! I'm very glad that it's Friday. I hope that all of you had a good week at school. I sure enjoyed my first week teaching you guys. I just finished grading all of the assignments that have been turned in. I will be e-mailing you your grades later this evening. I want to explain and write notes about why you received the grades you did. For the most part, everyone did pretty well. When it came to assignment two, there were a lot of similar and unoriginal answers. I would like for you guys to work at original responses, even if they are short. 

Don't forget that you need to work on assignment three over the weekend. It's an essay about the best form of communication. The groups that have classes today will be able to discuss this topic during our class. The essay is due by September 19th at 9 PM.
